If you have ever visited at least some drift event, you should note that people are trying to reduce the weight. Some people cut at least trunk floor, another change rear end of Volvo 745 into kevlar. Other drivers can even just cut trunk and don't install any plastic body parts instead cut parts. But you have else one way. You can build such BMW 3 E36 Compact Drift Car. This car already has short trunk. So, even from factory this Compact will have less weight than classic BMW E36 Coupe.

So, having such compact you can waste all your time and money for another things. Engine, transmission, suspension and another modifications for drift. As for this BMW 3 E36 Compact Drift car, owner has made many modifications here. We see quite wide wheels and they are a little sticking out. Front and rear fenders are plastic and are more wide than original. Probably the hood is plastic as well. Front bumper got a huge lip on the rivets. Rear bumper is modified too. Else we see here a huge spoiler. You could see the similar spoilers on E36 prepared for DTM. But you can buy such fiberglass spoiler as well. We can see the roll bar with safety cage in a cabin. And all this I can say just watching at these pictures. But that's not all. There are a lot modifications are inside. I guess something like M54 or V8 M60-M62 could be swapped here. Many structural elements are cut inside and replaced into bash bars. However, this is a really cool drift car for not so large money.
