Widebody Mercedes W126 by Koenig Specials

Welcome to the wild world on absolutely insane car tuning of 1980s. Because here we have a cool red widebody Mercedes W126 by Koenig Specials. Red body and white interior looks quite stylish. Red limousines are not so popular. Anyway, let's take a closer look at this wide body Mercedes-Benz W126.

This Mercedes W126 by Koenig Specials got the widebody kit all around. Almost everything was modified, except roof and hood. Front bumper was modified, front fenders were modified for wider wheels installing. Front widebody looks really cool. But widebody in rear end looks a little weird. It's some blend of Ferrari Testarossa and Batmobile. But rear fender is really wide. I guess they used tires almost like on some Lamborghini Countach. These tires are wide, but the rims still are R15 or probably R16. Such wide wheels with not so large disks and wide outer rims are looking strange, but cool. It's very old school think. I guess these wheels and front fenders are my favorite elements of this car. Let's back to rear end. Trunk lid and rear fenders of this Mercedes-Benz got something like integrated ducktail. But else this wide body Mercedes-Benz W126 got the wing on trunk lid with brackets or legs (call it by your taste) in the center. This spoiler looks like something foreign on this beautiful limousine. The design of this wing doesn't fit overall design of Mercedes. Rear bumper seams to be modified as well. All possible things were painted in body color. Grill and headlights bezel are red as well. But this tuned Mercedes W126 has else one place which was custom made. It's interior. All was made from qualitative white leather or was wrapped. Red seat belts are looking cool. By the way we have on our site else wide body Mercedes SL R107 by Koenig Specials from the same era. That roadster has actually the same modifications.
